Next, I used a regular black eyeliner pencil to draw on whiskers and a kitty nose. Next, I went to work on turning my face into a kitty cat! I did my face makeup like normal, then used liquid black eyeliner to apply cat eye makeup. I threw on my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings and paired it with a black fitted bodysuit and black flats. By the next morning, they were dry and I was ready to put together my outfit for Halloween! I went home with my find and went to work! I had some rhinestone jewels that were about the same size in my craft box so I took some superglue and glued them into the places on the ears that the jewels had fallen off. (I can’t find it on the Walmart website anymore, but found a super similar one on Amazon for under $8!) I think it was initially $4 or $5, but I brought it up to the register and asked if I could have a discount since a few of the stones were missing and the manager ended up selling it to me for $1. I DID however manage to find a rhinestone kitty cat ears headband, that had 2 stones missing from it haha. I went to Walmart to look at what they had available and of course, most of the stuff was picked over. Last year, I decided the day before Halloween that I wanted to dress up as something for work and get into the festive spirit (even though I had about 4 bags of candy at home and some might argue I was already in the festive spirit lol). Today I wanted to share a costume idea that’s SUPER easy to replicate and is perfect no matter what your plans may be! I LOVE IT haha!įor the costumes, even though Jordan and I usually don’t do too much for Halloween, I always love getting a costume and getting into the spirit of things, even if I just wear it to work or out and about on Halloween heehee. From the movies, to the costumes, to the candyyyyyy, I LOVE IT! I think it’s so much fun and I always have a good time decorating the house and finding fun costumes and buying up all the candy in the store, just to eat most of it the week before and have to go out the day of and get more at an up-charged rate. Let me begin by saying I loveeeee Halloween. Happy 1st day of OCTOBER!!!!! I can’t believe it’s FINALLY October, my favorite month out of the entire year!! Which means, it’s officially time to start talking about ALL THINGS Halloween!! He had so much fun that it was the first time he’s ever gone OVER the time limit when giving a class speech, lol.THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. We kept it simple since his report was at the end of the day so he needed to be able to sweat playing dodge ball at lunch BEFORE he did his report.Īpparently, this was the key to my normally quite shy child’s heart because he was so happy with his costume! You can tell by the poses that he had a blast and really enjoyed being dressed up, but still able to play. This costume was super easy and you could add to it for Halloween with some whiskers and a black nose. Thankfully Amazon is super fast and we were able to pull together a fun costume for his book report complete with props! I ran to Party City to get a hat, convinced we could make the rest but they didn’t have a kid’s hat in the middle of spring, go figure. He also explained that he had already switched with his teacher and lo and behold there was a letter in his Friday folder reminding me that he would be the Cat in the Hat on Tuesday. He explained that all the other kids were wearing their costumes to school for the day and there was no way he could wear his big and bulky Ninjago mini-figure costume. Now, I knew a book report was coming, but he had planned to wear his old Ninjango costume for it so I hadn’t planned on doing anything. On a Friday night my son mentioned he was going to be The Cat in the Hat for his school book report on Tuesday.
